Books Checkup
How we handle your data.
The short version, in plain words. The full policy lives on the Apex Bookkeeping website.
- What we read. With your permission, your QuickBooks Online company: accounts, transactions, customers, vendors and reports. We never create, change or delete anything.
- Why. To prepare your Books Checkup report and discuss it with you on the call.
- How long. Our QuickBooks access and the raw data are removed within 7 days of your call, or 30 days after the report if no call happens, and at once if you are refunded. Your report stays available for 12 months, then its findings and PDF are deleted. Your name, email, phone and intake answers are removed 12 months after your order closes unless you become an Apex client. Order and payment records are kept, without personal details, for tax purposes.
- Who sees it. Apex Bookkeeping staff preparing your report. Aggregated, non-identifying summaries go to an AI service to help write the plain-English explanations; your name, email and tokens never do.
- Payments. Handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
- Your choices. Disconnect at any time from QuickBooks under Apps, or reply to any email to have your data deleted now.
